Hospice of Shelby County
The office of Hospice of Shelby County was established in the spring of 1994 when an agreement was signed with Major Hospital to help coordinate Hospice services in the Shelby County area. In the summer of 1994, an advisory committee comprised of area community leaders was formed to help advise and promote Hospice of Shelby County. An annual golf tournament was organized to raise funds for patients and families served by Hospice of Shelby County. The golf tournament continued until 2005, when Hospice of Shelby County began its annual Spring Fling Dinner, Dance and Auctions.
Because of continued growth of the program, the office was moved over the years to larger office locations, and today Hospice of Shelby County is located at 425 E. Washington St. Suite B, Shelbyville, Indiana. In 2009, Hospice of Shelby County served over 107 patients and provided bereavement services to more than 247 family members.
